Online Video: The Story of Stuff

Have you noticed that a lot of people are using the term "sustainability"?

As a result, "sustainability" has become a buzzword; it is so stylish and trendy that people aren't likely to be on the same page about what it really means.

A friend of mine recently told me about an online video that explains why the way most Americans live today is unsustainable.

One of the things the narrator, Anne Leonard, said is that if everybody in the world used as many resources as we Americans do, it would take five earths.

There are consequences to that kind of behavior.

I like to think that you've been reading my posts on sustainability (we call it "Going Green" in the label system in this blog) all along. But whether you have read them or not, I'd like to encourage you to watch The Story of Stuff.
