When you think of the Nazi Holocaust what comes to mind? The systematic death of 6,000,000 Jews is probably the correct answer. The Holocaust Encyclopedia is about the fate of European Jews and antisemitism, but other groups were also victimized by the Nazis and it is also about them. Gypsies, political opponents, Blacks, gay men (known only as homosexuals at that time) and even the Germans' own Polish neighbors suffered senseless atrocities under the deadly reign of the Third Reich. The United States Holocaust Museum's online Holocaust Encyclopedia has pages for each of these groups as well as links to other online sources.
