PBS Asks: Is Wal-Mart Good For America?

PBS's Frontline series first aired an excellent installment back in 2004 that is still very relevant and up-to-date. Now available in DVD format, "Is Wal-Mart Good For America?," has a lot to say about the direction our country has been going.

In recent decades, we've lost much of our manufacturing base. Powerful retail outlets, especially Wal-Mart, are largely to blame. But don't take my word for it, watch the video - it is very persuasive. From the time I saw it, I have not made a purchase at that chain of stores.
