The Women's Technician Club

What is wrong with these pictures?

If you said "nothing" you are absolutely correct. Technical careers are no longer just for men. Technical careers are for anybody that is willing and able to perform technical work. In recent years many factories have become cleaner and safer - something that makes technical work more appealing to everybody.

The Women's Technician Club is an online community where women in technical and other traditionally male professions (such as law enforcement) can get together. It is part of a larger organization, the National Institute for Women in Trades, Technology and Science (IWTTS).

Whether you are thinking about what career to get into, or you are an educator or an employer, the IWTTS website has something for you.

Women's Issues: Global trends

The Women’s Issues: Global Trends series offers remarkable insight into the ever changing roles women face regarding their religion while also addressing political and social challenges. It also examines the many dilemmas and opportunities that they may encounter. This series may be found at both Fond du Lac and Beaver Dam campus libraries.

Women in North America’s Religious World by Kenneth Mcintosh, delves into ten major religious orientations of North American women. This book looks at women’s contributions which shape and support the advancement of women in our society today and for generations to come. It encourages the reader to view for a moment, however brief that may be, a glimpse into a faith that may differ from their own. The author shows how women have made religions what they are by giving of themselves.
